Sheer Professionals continues to be nationally recognized leaders in the hairdressing industry. The salon has been nominated in several NAHA (North American Hairdressing Awards) categories, capturing titles of Makeover Artist of the Year and Color Makeover Artist of the Year, been a four time award winner of Salon Today’s ‘Top 200 Fastest Growing Salons,’ won Akron Canton’s Fox8 HotList Best Hair Salon, been selected as Wooster Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, and have had their work published in multiple hair trend magazines year after year.

Sheer Professionals’ mission is about delivering none other than the highest standards of hairdressing. All members of the Sheer Professionals staff must go through a year long apprenticeship program where stylists learn about Sheer Professionals concepts and custom hair design. From that point on, staff members never stop their education. The team travels internationally to keep up with the latest hairdressing trends, attends hair shows nationwide, and takes part in classes at Sheer Professionals with some of the nation’s top hairdressers.

In addition to this, Sheer Professionals makes it a priority to give back to the community through hairdressing. The salon has established their own wig bank to help cancer victims, performs multiple Locks of Love makeovers each year for Wooster’s Relay for Life, and have held fundraisers for multiple non-profit organizations such as the Viola Startzman Clinic and the American Heart Association.
